A fascination with our relationship to nature is the simple but key inspiration of my work; the beauty of this earth, its balance and the feeling of serenity and fullness it offers. The work moves toward capturing moments that are briefly illuminated, when the ordinary instantly becomes extraordinary. This silent sense of connectedness that is so difficult to verbalize, is what I seek personally, and with my brush.

My work is abstract in nature, striving to capture the sense of place, experience and moment in time. It has been informed by Abstract Expressionism and eastern art traditions as well as by many artists who have accepted the landscape as their muse.

The viewer is invited to take a journey that is more than visual, one that extends to an intimate, emotional contemplation. A moment of provocative silence in contrast to the demands of a busy world.
